Horse racing - Parlay bets
The parlay bet is composed from two or more individual wagers. The bet wins just if all individual wagers win. The system is very simple and because works by accumulation the bet is also called “accumulator” or “let it ride".
The player chooses the races he wants to bet. The races must be chronological but not successive. The player makes the wager for the first race and if it wins the money from original bet plus the profit are the wager for the second race. If the second bet wins, the wager money and the profit will represent the next bet. The system goes accumulating the money this way to the last race. If one individual bet is lost the entire parlay bet is considered lost.
The Parlay betting system is considered to have low risk because you don’t need to wager big amounts of money. In the same time Parlay is regarded as a way to increase your bankroll with less capital. A small amount of money invested in the original bet can transform in a huge bankroll.
The Parlay is recommended for experienced bettors on horse racing who know the system and the competitors very well. If the bettor wants to bet on several races the Parlay is more attractive than flat bets because with less money he can win much more. For example if the bettor wants to bet on five races on the horses that will win (1.4 odds for each) he can make flat bets of $5 on every race. If all these bets win, bringing him $7 each, he makes a total profit of $35. If the bettor makes a Parlay bet of $5 on the five races and wins all, he will have a $232.25 profit.
